Toddlers at St Barnabas Pre-school is part of three family owned Pre-schools.
Toddlers Pre-School was established in February 2003, with Toddlers at the Bridge opening in 2008
and Toddlers at St Barnabas in 2016.
Over the past twelve years Toddlers have built up a reputation of good quality childcare at affordable prices.
We have a loyal committed team that are caring, qualified and experienced. They ensure that children have an excellent opportunity to learn through play in a safe, stimulating inside and outside environment.
We follow the national standards for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We operate a key worker system providing a designated keyworker for each and every child in our care. The key person monitors development and provides a caring relationship with the child so they are happy and feel valued at Toddlers Pre-Schools.
Our preschool is set up to enable us to deliver the seven areas of the EYFS curriculum, using the development matters as a guide, we work with individual children to ensure that they achieve their potential through a mixture of child led and adult led activities that will help the children to bridge the gap in their learning.
In our preschool we aim for all the children to feel valued and included within their preschool. We provide a language rich environment to help support and develop our children's communication and language, we support our children to build confidence and encourage them to be independent in their health and self-care, to have respect for other's, in order for them to be able to build positive relationships and social skills.
We encourage and support the children to become independent, We plan activities that will help promote school readiness and prepare them for an easier transition into primary school.
In our pre-school we give the children the opportunity to gain new experiences within their community and whilst at preschool.
Parents are kept informed by keyworkers via Tapestry an online learning journey, in person and at twice yearly review days.
